John L. Wilbers carries forward a family tradition that started in 1958. His father began his career defending insurance companies — then made a pivotal decision to switch sides and fight for the people those companies were trying to shortchange.
That insider knowledge became the firm's greatest weapon. John knows exactly how insurance companies build their cases, where they cut corners, and what tactics they use to minimize payouts. He uses that knowledge against them — every single time.

Our History
The Wilbers Law Firm is founded in St. Louis. The elder Wilbers begins his career in insurance defense — learning the system from the inside.
A turning point: the firm switches to plaintiff-side personal injury law. The knowledge gained defending insurers becomes a powerful tool for victims.
John L. Wilbers joins the firm, continuing the family mission. The firm builds deep roots in the St. Louis legal community.
Expansion of service areas to Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks, and the I-55 corridor. Notable verdicts exceed $1 million for the first time.
